Reduced rebates for larger batteries
(From 1 May 2026)
To encourage appropriately sized systems, the federal rebate is structured so that it tapers for larger batteries:
- Up to 14 kWh (inclusive):
rebate applies at 100% - Above 14 kWh up to 28 kWh:
rebate applies at 60% - Above 28 kWh up to 50 kWh:
rebate applies at 15%
(applies across the full system)
